The number of Turkish brands is reaching 5000 stores in 125 countries abroad
The Head of the United Turkish brands Association ”Sinan Öncel” has announced that Turkish brands, which have 4,396 stores in 125 countries are daily continuing to open two new stores abroad.
“Öncel” said in an interview with Anadolu Agency that in the second half of this year, the opening of Turkish stores will continue rapidly and reach about 5000 stores abroad, as the company’s performance exceeded expectations in the first half of the year.
He confirmed that Russia is the main destination for Turkish brands, which has 636 stores within its borders, followed by Kazakhstan with 320 stores and Saudi Arabia with 293 stores.
He pointed out that Romania, Iraq, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Iran, Morocco, and Turkish Cyprus are other major destinations for Turkish brands.
He also pointed out that in the last year, rising prices and domestic market saturation have prompted Turkish companies to shift increasingly to foreign markets.
The Turkish government’s program that is called Turquality supports companies that aim to become international brands in the fields of trade, education, advertising, and consultancy.
